Look at That Whale!
According to the book Blue Whales: Giant Animals by S.E. Virgilio, it says that a Blue Whale weighs about 200 tons. That is huge compared to a human whose average can weigh around 175 pounds. I also learned that a Blue Whale has a layer of fat called blubber that helps keep it warm in the ocean. Lastly, I learned that Blue Whales breath air just like humans. They use a blow hole to breathe in air when they are on the surface of the water. They can hold one breathe for thirty minutes before having to come back up for more air.
